When one is at home, nothing goes as per one's own plan!
It was decided that the carpenter would come at 10am on Sunday morning for an hour discussion, leaving the remaining Sunday morning to watch the first F1 Race of 2009.
Sunday morning 11am : Race day starts... People's opinion were being sought on the new Rules of the season. And great carpenter lands apologizing for an hour delay.
TV gets switched off.
30 min into the discussion with carpenter, an old family friend and his daughter, my childhood buddy, enter home.
Carpenter goes and the whole family is chatting with the visitors. At around 12.30pm, they are planning to leave.
Meanwhile, my great mother has prepared lunch. (I can never understand how she manages both conversation and the lunch preparation!) Now she insists that my buddy should eat, taste her Rasam in particular. Apparently, when we were kids, my mom's Rasam was my buddy's favourite. And my buddy, even after so many years, seemed to pounce on the suggestion :) or probably, out of respect. So, i end up serving her.
After lunch, few more mins of conversation. And it was 1.30pm when they left.
TV is switched on. Jenson Button is giving press conference after his Australian win! Where is Ferrari in the standing? What happened in the race? How did Hamilton move 13 places in the grid? No idea... Yes, one can read in websites, but nothing can compensate for watching the complete live race!
And repeat telecast is over today at 12.45pm in Star sports!
What a great way to start watching the 2009 season!!
Maybe, one should buy Tata Sky!!!

Damn the brainy brawny Brawn team. Ferrari had superior technology but without it... We will be baaaaaackkkkkkk!!!!!
How would the TATA sky recorded program would be any different than a re-run of the same? :)
You missed it. period!
I think she works for Tata Sky.
It reminds me a sikh joke. Was going to share it but let's leave it :)
charlie|thotti,
I think this Brawn team might be a strong competitor for Ferrari this season. Lets see what happens this weekend in Malaysia.
Postman,
The only difference is, i could've watched it at 1.30pm on sunday itself :)
But, yes you are right, i missed it.
RebellionCrap,
Sikh joke related to Tatasky? :)
Good news! Hamilton will lose all his points for this race.... Couldn't have expected a better start for McLaren....
Looks like you wanted to say something to your 'buddy' through this post?
Sujai, :)
She knows this already. Infact, she replied that i shd've watched TV along with the discussion. But then, when it comes to F1, multi tasking is impossible.
OK the joke:
"A Sikh to his friend.
Sikh: I lost a bet twice on India-Australia cricket mach.
Friend: Twice?
Sikh: Yes first I lost when India played with Australia in the morning and secondly when its repeat telecast was aired at night".
That would not be my problem if it fails to make you laugh :)
It did make me laugh :)
Quite a relevant one for this post...
I found the joke funny, not the denigration.
Hey fan! you got a nice smile :)
